Tony Lioce on "Walks of Life Collaborations"

It's great music, oh yes. But even more than that, it's a great idea, a great notion, that each of us has his or her own great music to sing. It's a reminder and a celebration of simple pleasures and truths and universal fears and dreams, of innocence and purity and community. The album starts with a declaration - "we're all human, we're all welcome here" - and proceeds to prove it with songs about everything from scary love to blueberry pie, all totally, magnificently, beautifully unfiltered. How did Van Morrison put it? "Straight from the heart like a cannonball.”
